V8.0008.02 - Highlights 

• Fixed Assets Enhancements:
  
  • New module 'Fixed Asset Categories' where a category can be set up for a fixed asset.
  • Added logic to a fixed asset to calculate a depreciation to zero in number of months.
  • There is a new tab for Fixed Assets called 'Details', where extra information about the FA can be added.
  • New Action (calculate write down) – calculates the remaining write down value of the fixed asset (cost minus all depreciations so far).
  • New Profile (Fixed Assets – default depreciation account) – enforces using the ‘asset depreciation’ field to be defaulted from the fixed asset type ‘asset depreciation’ field when adding a fixed asset.

• MRP:
  
  • New MRP Setting: Ignore Optimum Order Quantity, for products with the order option set to ‘Generate a manufacturing order based on optimum order quantity’, a new setting called ‘Ignore optimum quantity when creating a Manufacturing Order for a back to back Sales Order’ can be used to set the order quantity of the final batch to equal the remainder of the requirement, as opposed to over-completing based on the optimum order quantity.
