WinMan’s manufacturing credentials had already put ticks in all the right boxes for our manufacturing team and it had strong core distribution functionality.

Expertise

WinMan project teams have a high level of expertise and commitment to leading-edge manufacturing techniques enable effective deployment of WinMan’s user-friendly rich functionality. Whether in lean and agile or in more traditional manufacturing techniques or in a mixture of various disparate methodologies required, we will facilitate the implementation of the best practices on a case-by-case basis for any WinMan user. The customer - and research - driven features contained within WinMan are designed to be flexible, powerful and intuitive enough to enhance and improve all aspects of the planning, the build and the tracking requirements of the most demanding of customers and provide the necessary tools to support whichever techniques and practices are required.

Flexible

At the heart of WinMan’s powerful manufacturing functionality is its flexibility. Due to the diverse requirements of our existing customers, the emergence of new technologies and the ever-increasing demands placed on today’s manufacturers, WinMan has been designed to facilitate disparate and highly-controllable features. Whether it is a traditional, cell-based, lean or a mixture of many practices, with some features specific to your business, WinMan will be able to help propel your controls and efficiency beyond those of your competitors.

WinMan remains a default-driven system with the large amounts of relevant control information able to be stored at the lowest levels possible, thus enabling the ongoing processes to become significantly more efficient and streamlined whilst, if required, giving the ability to add information not previously recorded due to time constraints. For example, the ability to back-flush proposed orders in a couple of keystrokes, whilst still being able to use these orders in the planning and procurement cycles, may free up sufficient resource to allow the recording of TAKT times, six sigma, serial numbers, expiry dates, test results or whatever other information may be pertinent. Obviously if the increase in productivity is what is required and no additional information is required then the effects on the bottom line should be reason enough.

Working with you business

It has been widely acknowledged that efficient and competitive manufacturing did not arise as a result of putting computer systems in place but equally it cannot be denied that an appropriate and efficient information system can help in achieving it. Where a WinMan implementation differs from most other implementations is in ensuring that the system fits with the manufacturing techniques best suited to the business. If traditional push methods with works-orders, picking lists and a solid control of releasing orders to the shop floor are most appropriate, then WinMan will be set up accordingly. Whatever method, or mixture of methods, is required our absolute focus is on firstly determining the best practice in all areas and then on providing the absolute best solution for your operation. More importantly, and this is where the majority of other software suppliers fall down, as your business changes our team will help and advise as to potential solutions to the challenges around the corner. You will see testimony to our ongoing commitment and support from our large family of satisfied customers.

The following list of features is by no means exhaustive but gives an idea of the scope and power of WinMan. However, the only way to appreciate its flexibility, ease of use and most importantly our expertise and commitment to our customers is to see it for yourself.
